ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza on Saturday issued production order of former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi for the NA session starting from April 12.
Sources in the National Assembly told APP that a copy of the production order has been sent to the Secretary Interior.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested Hamid Saeed Kazmi on March 15 after rejection of his bail by Special Judge Central (SJC) Sohail Nasir in the Haj corruption case.
The FIA had registered a case against the minister for alleged corruption during the Haj season in 2010.
Earlier Dr. Fehmida Mirza also issued the production order of former federal minister Kazmi for the Joint Session of the Parliament held for presidential address.
The production order has been issued under the Rule of Procedure 108.
