Gilani Nawaz meeting, a good will gesture: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Friday that Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani had a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif in London as a goodwill gesture.

Talking to PTV, the information minister expressed the hope that the gesture of the prime minister would help improve political environment in the country.

She said that Prime Minister Gilani inquired after the health of Nawaz Sharif and wished him good health.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that political parties should work for strengthning democratic institutions as this would augur well for the national interest.

She stressed that all political issues could be solved through democracy.
