LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) on Monday as it shed 5.42 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4114.35 and closed at 4080.93 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 4.535 million shares to close against previous turnover of 4.634 million shares, showing an upward move of 98,700 shares.
While, out of the total 98 active scrips 22 moved up, 18 shed values and 58 remined equal.
Engro Foods Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Netsol Technologies Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 4.67, Rs. 1.77 and Re. 1.00 respectively.
Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Attock Refinery Limited and D.G.Khan Cement Company lost their per share value by Rs 2.80, Re 0.55 and Re 0.46 respectively. The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 1.620 million share, Maple Leaf Cement Factory with 669,000 shares and Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 352,500 shares.
