ISLAMABAD: Chief of Jamiat Ulem-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, who recently escaped two suicide attacks, on Thursday visited the Senate guest gallery and witnessed proceedings of Upper House of the Parliament.
The question-hour session was in progress when the attention of the Chairman was drawn towards the presence of JUI-F Chief in the Senate gallery by Senator Dr. Ismael Buledi and legislators gave him warm welcome by thumping desk.
Chairman Farooq H. Naek welcomed Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and thanked to Allah Almighty for keeping the JUI-F Chief safe and sound in the life attempts on him.
The House on April 1 had unanimously passed a resolution, condemning the suicide attacks on Maulana and urging the government to identify the reasons and perpetrators behind the terrorist attacks.
Maulana Naseeb Gul on behalf of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman thanked the House for expressing solidarity and praying for him.
