LISBON: Portugal sold 2.5 billion euros of five-year bonds and demand reached 12 billion euros in the country's first long-term debt issue since it sought a bailout in 2011, a government source said on Wednesday.
Demand by foreigner investors was strong, the source told Reuters.
The government was set to announce the full results of the sale shortly on Wednesday.
