Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) secretary general Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri Wednesday presented six main objectives and four demands of Azadi March against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

"Our main objectives are; (i) poverty alleviation, (ii) eradication of unemployment, (iii) elimination of uncertainty in the country due to wrong economic polices, (iv) effective measures to avoid Pakistan from isolation at international level due to foreign policy of the government, (v) protection of Islamic clauses in the Constitution, (vi) and stability of economy of the country. Our demands are; (i) resignation of the prime minister, (ii) dissolution of the assemblies, (iii) free, fair and transparent elections in the country with electoral reforms, (iv) and military should be kept away from polling stations," Haideri presented these objectives and demands during a news conference at Azadi March venue near Peshawar Morr, Islamabad.

He said resignation of Prime Minster Imran Khan is JUI-F's main demand. "We have not accepted this government since the beginning. We had said this government is established with worst rigging in the elections, so we do not accept this government," he said.

The JUI-F secretary general strongly condemned the state terrorism of Indian government in Occupied Kashmir and showed solidarity with Kashmiri people. He also condemned the United Nations (UN) for not implementing its resolutions passed on Kashmir issue. He said international human rights organizations should raise their voice for the rights of Kashmiri people.

He condemned the removing of Azadi March posters by Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Answering a question, he said Azadi March caravan may stay at Gujar Khan or Rawalpindi. He told that caravans of Azadi March would enter Islamabad through Faizabad today and would reach Peshawar Morr via Zero Point. He added that caravans from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would enter Islamabad from Tarnol and reach Kashmir Highway.

Answering another question, he said, "The major problem which we would face is shortage of toilets and we are trying to resolve this issue."

Haideri claimed that the PTI government is creating problems for the people of Islamabad by putting containers on roads. He said the people and students of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are facing problems in reaching their offices and schools and the government is responsible for it.

He also strongly condemned the government for banning use of drone cameras and media coverage of Azadi March.
