Pakistan's former captain and wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has placed opening batsman Imam ul Haq among the most dangerous batsman for his side in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.

“I believe that Imam-ul-Haq would emerge as a different player, he doesn’t throw away his wicket and in these English conditions, we will see him playing strokes,” said Latif. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Pakistan batting mainstay Babar Azam were the other two batsmen Latif picked to be among the most dangerous batsmen for Pakistan.

Speaking about Imam’s fellow opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, the former captain said that Zaman is the ‘x-facto’ in Pakistan batting line. “Fakhar Zaman is the x-factor, he will not click in nine games but if gets click against four top sides Pakistan is bound to win that match,” said Latif.

The opening duo are part of the Pakistan 15-men World Cup squad and are presently in England with the Pakistan squad where they are slated to play a one-off T20I and a five-match ODI series against the hosts before heading into the World Cup.
