CAIRO: Egypt's sugar beet production rose this season to 1.4 million tonnes from 1.2 million tonnes last season, the chairman of Delta Sugar Co said.
The cultivated area of beet sugar increased to 600,000 feddans (622,706 acres) this season from 500,000 feddans last season, the chairman said.
