Space tourism is now actually becoming a thing with many people investing in it. Recently, Russia announced that it will send tourists to International Space Station (ISS) for a spacewalk.

Russia is giving a chance to float around in ISS, the habitable artificial satellite in Earth’s orbit, accompanied with a space walk out on the station’s hull. However, not everyone can afford the trip to space, as according to the head of the Russian space company Energia, Vladimir Solntsev, a 10-day trip to space would cost around $100 million. “Market analysts have confirmed this: wealthy people are ready to pay money for this.”

Russia to build luxurious hotel in space for tourists

The first tourists opting to volunteer for the space tourism might be given discount according to Solntsev. He also said that the tourists will be able to ‘go out on a spacewalk and make a film or a video clip’.

According to The Guardian, Energia is constructing a new module called NEM-2 for transporting tourists to the ISS. The NEM-2 will have room for four to six people, fitted with comfortable cabins, two toilets and internet access as well. “It should be launched in 2019. Basically it will be comfortable, as much as that is possible in space.”

Moreover, the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing has also showed interest in partnering with the company, reported Outer Places.
