Gruffat joins the German bank's equity capital markets for Europe, Middle East and Africa after over two decades at Credit Suisse, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters.
The ECM sector has been one of Credit Suisse's bright spots though, with its strong tech franchise in the United States helping keep it competitive with its Wall Street rivals.

Kone's shares drop more than 8pc after orders slip

Kone reported a rise in operating profit to 249.8 million euros ($301.53 million) from 197.2 million a year ago on sales of 2.3 billion euros following continued growth in China.

Canada's fourth-largest lender will take a C$745 million write-down of goodwill after tax in the second quarter of fiscal 2021 as a result of the transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of calendar 2021, BMO said.
Concentrating on the North American market, and Canada in particular, is the right strategic decision.
