KARACHI: Comedian Sikandar Sanam, the theatre artist who redefined the art of mimicry on stage, has passes away in Karachi, media reported on Monday.

 

He was born in Karachi. His real name was Muhammad Sikandar. His father was a very famous poet of Indo-Pak Asia. His father was very versatile, talented and proficient. Who patronize his son with his talent. Sikandar was basically a Singer, and played a role in a stage drama with friends in his childhood. Then he decided to choose one profession. So that he overruled his singing and decided to enter showbiz. After getting lots of love and appreciation from public, he became Sikandar Sanam from Muhammad Sikandar. Tere Naam2 and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" gave him the coveted title "Comedy King", but he has worked his way up to his present status slowly and steadily. He started his career from the stage where he mastered the art of mimicry.

 

Sanam had been battling liver cancer for the last three months and his funeral prayers will be held on Monday, were he will be laid to rest at the Korangi graveyard.
