The TMO has issued a series of individual tenders of between 20,000 and 50,000 tonnes of wheat for shipment from March 5-20.

Lowest prices offered for the other tenders included $226.25, $228.77, $235 and $236 a tonne c&f, traders said.

The TMO traditionally goes to several rounds of negotiations in its tenders seeking lower prices than initial offers.

Any final purchase may be made at a lower price, traders said.

In its last reported wheat tender on Jan. 14, the TMO purchased around 550,000 tonnes at the lowest price of $236.00 a tonne c&f.

The TMO also has separate tenders for 25,000 tonnes of animal feed barley and 50,000 tonnes of durum wheat, which close on Tuesday.
