NAWABSHAH: Pakistan Railways has initiated replacing old signaling system with modern computerized signal system with the assistance of China and Malaysia.
In this regard Additional General Manager Pakistan Railways Anjum Parez formally inaugurated computer-based interlocking system equipment room at Bucheri railway station on Wednesday evening.
He said in the start 23 railway stations between Shahdadpur and Mirpur Mathelo are being linked to the computerized signal system and in the first phase of this project railway stations of Nawbshah, Bucheri and Sarhari have been selected.
He said the project would be completed at the cost of Rs300mn by March 2, 2013.
