Traffic Police fine 9,701 smoke emitting vehicles

The traffic police took action against the smoke emitting vehicles and issued challan to 9,701 vehicles in the month of October. Joint teams of traffic police and environment department have been constituted to deal with the situation as the city has reached an alarming level of smog. This situation has led to health issues among citizens. The traffic wardens were also found distributing pamphlets among commuters on main roads to create awareness about smog.
