Kashmir Black Day: One minute silence observed in Tehran

Kashmir Black Day was observed on Sunday at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tehran to express support of the Pakistani nation for the struggle of the Kashmiri people against the atrocities being committed by the Indian security forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir. One minute silence was observed to pay homage to the martyrs of the liberation struggle in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Pakistanis held placards condemning grave human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir and repealing of special status of Jammu & Kashmir state by Indian government. They urged the United Nations to play its role and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

Messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out at the occasion.

Ambassador Ms Riffat Masood paid homage to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their struggle against the decades long Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated Pakistan's moral, political and diplomatic support for the people of Kashmir in their right to self-determination.

Large banners were installed at the Embassy building in which illegal occupation and brutalities of Indian forces in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir were condemned.

Special articles on Kashmir Black Day were published by Iranian print media in Persian daily "Jamhoori Eslami" and English daily "Iran News" to remind Iranian masses about just struggle of Kashmiris against illegal occupation and atrocities being perpetrated by Indian Forces in Occupied Kashmir.-PR
