PESHAWAR: The appointments of the blue eyed without proper advertisements in press Monday echoed in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly as the issue was raised in the house through a calling notice of the PMLN lawmaker.

The KP PA met here with speaker Muhstaq Ahmad Ghani in the chair after two days break.

Jamshed Khan Mohmand of PMLN in his calling attention notice drew attention of the house towards what he called alleged illegal appointment of the blue eyed by the government in the SRSP a registered NGO with the Social Welfare department.

He complained that SRSP frequently issued ads to the papers for jobs while its coordinator recruited his own blue eyed.

If merit was not the policy then what was the need to publish ads in the press he asked.

Special Assistant to CM on Industries Abdul Karim clarified that SRSP was not registered with Social Welfare department and registered under committee act.

He said concerns of the movers could be removed by arranging his meeting with the SRSP authorities.

However, Parliamentary Leader of ANP Babak and Inayatullah Khan of MMA called for referring the calling notice to the committee of the house.

However, the motion was referred for voting by the chair wherein the motion was defeated by31 to 18 votes.

Bahadar Khan of ANP in his calling notice referred to appointment of a sweeper in Government Higher Secondary School Samar Bagh in Dir Lower district.

Special Assistant to CM on IT Kamran Bangash told the house that the appointment was made through a district selection committee after fullfling all the legal formalities.

He said he has no objection if the matter was referred to the committee if the mover insisted.

Leader of Opposition Akram Khan Durrani said that arrangements has been made between the government and the opposition for the appointment against class-IV posts in the province.

The recommendation of the concerned MPA would be given preference in such appointments.

Minister for Food supported contention of the opposition leader as the chair called for settlement of the matter through negotiations.

Earlier, the Speaker ruled that his statement about taking one bread he made during the press conference was taken out of context by the local media.

Aurangzeb Nalota of PMLN in humorous tone told the house that social media highly projected the speaker’s one bread statement and made him popular across the country.

Meanwhile, the opposition members also made hue and cry over postponement of assembly proceeding on Friday last.

Opposition leader complained that the session was adjourned before the arrival of the members of the house.
