Govt fighting economic war for future generations
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi Thursday said that the government was fighting an economic war for the safety of future generations.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that the economic condition of the country was poor when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) came into power.
In politics, he said, you do not get what you desire but you had to negotiate to achieve the desire goals. “We have to talk about our national interest. We were negotiating with Saudi Arabia and Qatar but these both countries had not good relations with each other. We had to build economic bridges” he added.
During my visit to US, I had asked the American senators that current government was different from the previous, adding; only solution for the strong relation between the two countries was to build the relations on equal level.
The minister said that Iran had left Gas pipeline project with Pakistan, adding; I am in favor for opening of this pipeline as it is in the interest of our country.
To a question, he said that all political parties were on same page few days back when Indian Prime Minister had tried to adventure in Pakistan but badly failed.
He said that all political parties started crying when the government talks about the elimination of corruption.
