Governor Sindh inaugurates Plantation campaign

KARACHI: Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail on Monday inaugurated a plantation campaign under Tree Plantation Pilot Drive by Indus Motors Company in connection with the Clean and Green Karachi program at the Governor house here.

Addressing the occasion, the Governor of Sindh said that the present government has vigorously organized plantation and preservation of tree and the plantation is continue in Karachi.

The Governor Sindh called for need to create awareness at national level among the masses with regard to importance of the greenery and plantation.

He said that the contribution of communities for success of this drive is imperative to develop healthy and better environment.

Later talking to media, the Governor Sindh said that this plantation is also a part of Clean and Green Karachi Program envisioned by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

As many as 8000 saplings will be distributed from the Sindh Governor's House during the campaign, he added.

He said that this campaign will not be limited to the Governor House but the beautification work will be carried out in whole province of Sindh and Karachi.

He told another questioner that the raise in petroleum prices was result of increase of petroleum prices in the international market.
