CDA , ICT successfully complete anti-encroachment operation in sector E-12

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT) Saturday launched a massive anti-encroachment operation to vacate illegal possession of land in sector E-12.

During the operation some elements were trying to stop the operation and in resistance to that they broke wind screen of the dozer machine, manhandled its operator that caused injuries to the operational staff, said a press release.

The ICT administration tackled the situation by calling the additional Reserve Police and arrested 10 miscreants for interruptions.

After police intervention, the operation was resumed with full swing in which hundreds of illegal constructions were demolished particularly, in the areas of Mozza “Siri Saral” of Sector E-12.

It further stated that all the encroachment from Sector E-12 have been removed after the successful operation and took over 214 different constructions including rooms and boundary walls after demolishing total 857 constructions during three days.

It may be mention here that 250 officers and officials of Enforcement Directorate were participating in the operation with the support the ICT Administration, Islamabad Police, Sector Development Directorate, Land and Rehabilitation Directorate of the Authority and other concerned.

Rangers were also deputed to counter any untoward situation.
