According to reports, the ASO raided in wee hours of Wednesday and sized 1500 bags which weight around 37,500 kilograms. Packing material was also recovered from the godown. Ajinomoto was banned on the directives of Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan and IPO 2016 at serial No 45 of Appendix A, was inserted accordingly vide Notification No SRO 266(I) /2018 dated 28.2.2018. Three accused persons have also been arrested from the spot. Total tentative value of seized smuggled goods is to the tune of Rs9,025,000.
