Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Monday that he had nothing to hide in the fake accounts case as the Joint Investigation Team's (JIT) report was flawed and based on lies.

Speaking to the media after being questioned by NAB, Shah said that he had answered the queries of the bureau regarding Thatta sugar mills. He said he had assured NAB of his full cooperation as he has nothing to hide regarding the case. He further said that the report by the JIT regarding the fake accounts case was based on lies.

He continued that he is being investigated by the bureau despite the Supreme Court's orders of removing his name from the JIT report. He said NAB told him that they were investigating him on the top court's orders.

Earlier, the chief minister appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) headquarters in Islamabad. He was probed by the bureau for over an hour. Shah's name has been listed in the report by the JIT along with former President Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur and others.

The case proceedings are now being held in Rawalpindi after a Karachi banking court accepted the bureau's transfer request.
