In his message, he said that the day was a watershed moment in the struggle for establishment of Pakistan as the resolution approved in the historic meeting at Minto Park paved the way for a separate homeland for Muslims of the Subcontinent.

He said that March 23, 1940 was an occasion of materialising dreams and building passions. The journey of achieving independence was never an easy task and the Muslims had to pass through a river of blood to get it, he added.

Tremendous sacrifices were rendered by the Muslims under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he said adding that people of different sects, creeds and ethnic communities had also joined the movement.

Today, our commitment is unwavering and every heart is filled with the hope of a new Pakistan and every Pakistani is working hard for achieving the goal of a new Pakistan, he said. The sacrifices, rendered by our forefathers, demand that we work for the progress and prosperity of the country.

He said that Pakistan was moving forward to achieving the goals envisioned by Quaid and Iqbal under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
