LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Thursday said that visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Muhammad to Pakistan was a testimony of international community's endorsement of government's economic policies.

Addressing "Shan-e-Pakistan" Music Summit here at Shahi Fort, he said the world leadership had lauded business friendly policies of Prime Minister Imran Khan, adding, today the foreign businessmen preferring to invest in Pakistan.

The governor said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government would rid the country of menace of corruption, assuring that accountability process would not be stopped at any cost.

He hailed the Punjab government for its efforts to promote cultural activities in the province, adding that similar cultural programs would also be held in the Governor's House.

About the mosque attacks in London, he said it was the worst form of terrorism.

Earlier, a traders' delegation headed by Anjum Nisar called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar at the Governor's House.

Talking to the delegation, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan had promised to the nation to turn Pakistan into a peaceful country, adding the government would strengthen institutions and provide relief to the people of Pakistan.

Sarwar said the federal and provincial governments were taking steps at all levels for the welfare of masses.

The governor said the government would resolve problems of the business community on priority, adding that the country could not achieve prosperity without economic growth. He said peace had returned to the country by the grace of Allah Almighty.
