D I KHAN: At-least two policemen were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in limits of Mahra Drabin police station, Paroha here on Monday.

According to police, the explosive material, planted in a cycle parked along the roadside, went off through a remote device when a police van approached it during the routine patrolling.

In a result, Sub-Inspector Khanzada, constable Mohammad Shoaib and a passerby got seriously injured in the attack and later rushed to DHQ hospital.

Five other police personnel on the vehicle remained unhurt. The police teams and bomb disposal squad reached the spot, cordoned off the area and started search operation.
