Pakistan partially resumes flight operations, reopens airspace with restrictions

After suspending Pakistan's airspace for two days, the Civil Aviation Authority(CAA) has given the green signalto partially resume flight operations on Friday.

However, the CAA has further announced that Pakistan's airspace will remain closed for all operations until March 4, 1pm. For now, flight operations have only been resumed to and from Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Karachi airports  under restricted airspace.

The CAA has instructed passengers to contact their airlines for further details and information.

Earlier, the CAA had announced that it will decide on the restoration of the country's airspace, after the current Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) expires. Following Pakistan's airstrike on two of Indian Air Force (IAF) jets, tension had soared between the two neighbors. Both the countries had suspended both local and international flights operations.
