Google pays tribute to Pakistan’s first cricket captain Kardar on his birthday
The late cricketer Kardar, being Pakistan’s first cricket captain, also holds a unique distinction being one of the only three players to have played Test cricket for both India and Pakistan, the other two being Amir Elahi and Gul Mohammad. Kardar is widely regarded as a father figure of Pakistan's cricket and received the Pride of Performance Award from the Government of Pakistan in 1958.
