President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Ikram Rajput has appealed to the high ups of the government to extend the date of Tax Amnesty Scheme so that maximum numbers of businessmen could take advantage of the benefits announced by the government.
Due to Ramazan-ul-Mubarrak and Eid celebrations, the business community could not take advantage of the scheme which is beneficial for them, he expressed these remarks while addressing the inaugural session of the awareness seminar of Tax Amnesty Scheme held at HCCI Secretariat on Tuesday.
He said that the scheme has been prepared on the will of the business community and it is gaining popularity therefore the government should extend its last date so that the business community could get benefits of the legal protection, strengthening the economy of the country in right direction.
The Additional Commissioner Income Tax Shamim Akhtar while addressing the participants of the seminar gave detailed presentation on the benefits of the scheme while Commissioner Income Tax Zone-I Federal Board of Revenue Manzoor Jokhio said that it was the third seminar, which was organised to create awareness among the business community.
