The Met Office on Tuesday forecast a partly cloudy weather with a chance of rain and thunderstorm for the metropolis on Thursday. It said that the isolated rains are likely to fall Rawalpindi, Lahore and Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Bannu, DI Khan, DG Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Kalat and Zhob Division, besides Islamabad and Kashmir.
Elsewhere in the country, it said, a hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in the next 24 hours. Heat waves with a maximum 80 percent humidity are expected to continue in Karachi on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperature may remain up to 37 degrees Celsius with a partly cloudy weather on June 27 and June 28.
Weather remained hot and dry with a rain-thundershower and gusty winds in the most parts of the country as Barkhan received 5 mm of rainfall, Parachinar and Bagrote 3 mm each, Pattan 2 mm, Kakul and Murree 1 mm each. Turbat simmered with 50 degrees Celsius, Sibbi 49, Dadu, Noorpurthal, Bhakkar and Rahim Yar Khan 45 each in the last 24 hours.
