Lahore Zoological Gardens (Lahore Zoo) and Safari Zoo once again turned out to be most popular recreational places for people of the metropolis and adjoining cities during first two days of Eid holidays as 155,244 guests visited these places. Collectively, Lahore Zoological Gardens and Safari Zoo earned over Rs 5.6 million from the gate money during these two days.
Wildlife & Parks Punjab Director General Khalid Ayaz Khan told media persons here the other day, on the second day of Eid people thronged to these places in much larger quantity as collectively 102,165 visitors visited both these places and administration earned Rs 3,306,450 collectively as gate money. Giving the breakup, Khalid Ayaz Khan said that on the second day of Eid some 77,832 people visited the Lahore Zoo and the administration earned a sum of over Rs 2.685 million from them as gate money.
Similarly 24,333 people visited Safari Zoo and gave an income of Rs 620,890 to the administration as gate money. Huge rush was seen of families and kids at the Lahore Zoo on second and third day of Eid. There was huge rush and Mall Road was almost closed for all type of traffic.
