Caretaker Minister for Information Jameel Yusuf has advised general public for using their vote to elect only honest and hard working candidacies in coming elections. Speaking at Eid Millan party hosted by Patron-in-Chief of United Business Group (UBG) S M Muneer and his wife, Yusuf was off the view that the country may face serious issues if public fail to elect honest candidates.
He also emphasized the need that all the upcoming federal and provincial governments should include representatives of business community in their respective advisory boards.
He said the country facing serious challenges which need to be resolved on priority basis. Former president KCCI, Siraj Kassim Teli held politicians responsible for the countries present condition. He said the chamber always agitated issues in front of prime minister, ministers and government offices to get them resolved.
He noted that former finance minister Ishaq Dar was reluctant to visit Karachi Chamber due to our policy to agitate issues. Referring to amnesty scheme, he said it is the best scheme and should be announced two year ago.
Arif Habib said the amnesty scheme was introduced to resolve the biggest issue of debt. He said the business community should support scheme. S M Muneer said it is our desire that the general election should be held on time. He advised business community to support businessmen participating in general elections. He said the caretaker Finance Minster Shamshad Akhtar should hold a meeting with representatives of business community.
