Central Punjab: Zardari convenes meeting to award party tickets

Pakistan People's Party Co-Chairman Asif Zardari has convened a meeting of party leadership for awarding party tickets in the central Punjab. Party sources said Zardari held this meeting at the Bilawal House that was attended by President PPP Central Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira and General Secretary Ch Manzoor and senior leadership from the province.
The meeting considered names of those candidates who will be awarded party ticket for 2018 general elections. Candidates both for the National Assembly and provincial assembly were finalized in the meeting. The sources said that names of the party candidates would be announced soon. Meanwhile, independent sources in the party pointed out that party stalwart with a capacity to win elections are yet considering to contest elections independently. Manzoor Wattoo has filed his nomination papers independently, they added.
