The Lahore administration has taken a number of measures to meet emergency calls during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. In this connection, a meeting of the District Emergency Board was held here on Wednesday to review the emergency response plan for the holidays. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sameer Ahmed Syed on Wednesday, which was attended by ADC (Headquarters) Amir Shafique, CEO (Health Authority) Lahore Dr Shanaz, DO (Rescue 1122) Shahid Waheed, police officers and others.
While addressing the meeting, the DC directed the concerned officials to depute water-divers at River Ravi and lakes and also instructed the police officials to ensure that vehicles of Rescue 1122 have a clear route at shopping centres. He asked the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), Wasa, Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Lesco, Sui Gas, Tepa and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to extend their full cooperation to Rescue 1122 during the Eid holidays.
