Towel Manufactures Association of Pakistan members expressed its deep concern on govt's indifferent and non serious attitude towards textile sector. Despite of all the hurdles textile exporters are struggling to full fill government's dream into reality to achieve export target set by the govt.
Ministry of textile industry announced 1st Textile Policy for 2009-14 but hardly 2 to 3 percent policy was implemented later again for 2014-19 another textile policy was announced where level of implementation is hardly 90 percent.
These two textile policies are no doubt one of the best policies frame by any textile producing country. The level of implementation not passed through exporters and till to date all the refunds are pending on pretext on another. Now third policy announced and we assume that this policy may also be remain dormant as per past practice.
Exporters expressed concern on payment as such we urge the government to immediately release payment of all submitted claims of duty drawback of taxes under Prime Minister Export Package which will definitely reduce liquidity crunch and improve cash flow of exporters as well as government should ensure across the bard to value added sector including home textiles and made-ups.-PR
