Khyber Pakhtunkhwa food safety and Halal food authority sealed four factories against the violation of KP food safety act 2014 in different areas of Peshawar. According to the Spokesperson person Attaullah Khan, Under Ramazan crackdown a ghee mill situated on ring road Peshawar, was raided late night and sealed over violation of food safety standards.
He added that a team in Peshawar lead by assistant director Asad Ali raided the mentioned ghee mill and found fake production of other brands. "The mill was also producing substandard ghee and suppliers were distributing it the local market on marginalized rates, the spokesman said.
Another fake cold drink factory on kohat road was inspected over complaints being received through complaint management cell. The factory area was producing all kind of national and international fake brands by putting fake labels and packaging. The factory was sealed under section 25 and 26 of KP Food Safety Act 2014.
The spokesperson told that food authority staff also inspected Khog mahal bakery production unit in Gulbahar and sealed it over non-compliance with food safety standards.
The bakery products were found adulterated with textile colours and hygiene conditions were also witnessed dissatisfactory. The bakery was sealed till compliance with food safety standards.
