The Lahore High Court Wednesday sought replies from the federal government and others by June 12 in a petition challenging load shedding in the holy month of Ramadan.
The petitioner through his counsel Azhar Siddique said that the government promised to end load shedding but it was still continuing. The water in the dams has already been utilized. He said the shortfall was increasing fast and no real steps were taken to control the load shedding. The electricity distributing companies and Wapda had been continuously violating the court orders and load shedding was out of control.
