Federal Finance Minister has asked the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for a loan of Rs 1.140 billion to Pakistan Steel Mills for payment of salaries of three months-January, February and March, 2018. The state bank is likely to transfer the sanctioned amount into Pakistan Steel Mills account today (Wednesday). The salaries of the PSM's employees are due since December and several labour unions have been protesting for payment of salaries. Sindh Workers Federation chairman Rehan Shah has thanked the federal government for its order for payment of salaries.
