On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,483. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 6.254 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,474.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 2.312 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.765 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 797.345 million, platinum PKR 544.207 million, NSDQ100 PKR 241.967 million, silver PKR 201.974 million, DJ PKR 170.368 million, natural gas PKR 72.441 million, copper PKR 58.627 million, SP500 PKR 51.774 million and Brent PKR 38.004 million. In agriculture, 105lots of cotton amounting to PKR 71.743 million were traded.
