Engineer Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan has taken over charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) and has started discharging his official responsibilities. On this occasion he vowed that he will utilize all his energies for the betterment of Pesco and for the removal of public grievances. Engineer Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan belongs to respectable educated family of district Mardan and completed his primary education from Peshawar. He graduated from University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar.
He joined Wapda in 1982 and served as SDO, Xen and SE in Wapda in different parts of the country. He also completed masters in engineering and then PhD in Management from Peshawar. Dr Amjad Khan served in Pesco as SE and then he was promoted as Chief Engineer & General Manager. Later on he was posted as Chief Executive Tesco few months back.
Keeping in view his transparent career, outstanding performance, academic achievements and professional zeal, he has been posted as Chief Executive Pesco and he has started discharging his official responsibilities. Engineer Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan on the assumption of the office has shown his determination to work with full dedication and in the best interest of Company and to stabilize the weak financial position of PESCO for which he asked for the cooperation of the company's employees and the public simultaneously.
He directed the PESCO officers and officials to work for the betterment of the company and make all out efforts to reduce the line losses and enhance its recovery so that the company could be put on the track of success and prosperity. He directed PESCO employees to facilitate the valuable consumers of PESCO at their doorsteps with the specific reference to the current holy month of Ramadan.
CEO Pesco Engineer Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan sought the public cooperation and expressed determination to provide best facilities to the consumers and for the resolution of their grievances. He said 100% Photo Meter Reading will be implemented gradually to remove the over billing and wrong reading complaints.
He stressed the consumers to stop the illegal use of electricity, and all direct hooks must be removed. The improvement of recovery and reduction in line losses will bring completion of new developmental works throughout the province. CEO vowed to implement all the decisions for the betterment of consumers as well as for the company. In his maiden meeting, he asked all the field officers to provide better facilities to the consumers during the month of Ramadan and solve their electricity related problems at their door steps.
