The federal capital witnessed an increase in street crimes during the last week as over 10 cases of various kinds of theft, seven cases of auto theft, three cases of kidnapping and one murder case were reported to various police stations of the city.
According to the data gathered by Business Recorder, most "favourite" areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Industrial Area, Ramna, Shalimar and Khanna police stations. During the last week, Ramna police station registered two cases of robbery and one case of auto theft. Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIQ-555 of Karar Hussain.
One Imran Khan informed Ramna police station that unknown people snatched purse from his wife in front of his house containing gold ornaments and cash, and escaped from the scene. Another Ubaidullah lodged a complaint with the same police station that unknown robbers broke locks of his house and took away an LCD, cash, a mobile phone and other valuables.
Shalimar police station registered two cases of auto theft and one case of kidnapping. Auto thieves stole a car (EH-2607) of Muhammad Imran and lifted a bike bearing registration STM-5731 of Shamsur Rehman.
Another Zulfiqar informed Shalimar police station that accused Hafiz and Haroon had kidnapped his daughter. During the last week, Khanna police station registered one case each of robbery and kidnapping. Ashtar Abbas lodged a complaint with Khanna police station that unidentified armed persons barged into his house and took away cash and gold ornaments.
Another Farooq Butt registered a complaint with Khanna police station that unknown accused have kidnapped his son Sadiq Butt. Industrial Area police station registered one case each of robbery and auto theft. Carjackers stole a bike bearing registration number RIM-6665 of Adesh Masih. Another Zeshan Ahmad informed Industrial Area police station that unidentified persons snatched a mobile phone from him and escaped.
During the aforementioned period, Noon police station registered one case each of robbery and auto theft. Pervez Akhtar filed a complaint with Noon police station that unidentified robbers stole cash and gold ornaments form his house. Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike (AMP-209) of Rohail Sheroz from the jurisdiction of Noon police station.
Shehzad Town, Lohi Bher and Sabzi Mandi police stations registered one case each of robbery while Bhara Kahu police registered one case of kidnapping. Karachi Company police registered one case of auto theft, Koral police registered one case of murder, while Lohi Bher and Sabzi Mandi police stations registered one case each of robbery.
