Hassan Abbas and Aijz Jamali of The Green Panel were elected President and General Secretary of Karachi Union of Journalists (Barna Group), respectively in the election held at Karachi Press Club Saturday. The Green Panel defeated The Qalam Dost. The other elected office-bearers are Aijaz Ahmed & M Rafiq Baloch, Vice Presidents, Lubna Jarar & M Nasir Sharif, Joint Secretaries, and Seema Shafi Treasurer.
Those who were elected on Executive Council seats are Abbas Mehdi, Asif Ali Syed, Fareed Khan, Farhan Soomro, Imtiaz Mugheri, Iqtidar Anwer, Kamran Lashari, Rafiq Ansari, S Liaquat Ali and Tufail Ahmed.
