Four LPC officials remanded to NAB

An accountability court on Friday granted remand of four officials of Lahore Parking Company (LPC) for 15-days to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The bureau had arrested LPC Chief Executive Officer Taseer Ahmad, Chief Financial Officer Usman Qayyum, General Manager Faizan Wali and Accounts Manager Saad Rafiq.
They were accused of awarding contract to a private company namely National Technology Group (NTG) in violation of procurement rules, which caused loss to the national exchequer. The Chief Executive Officer NTG Faisal Rao is also on physical remand.
