MMA chief calls meeting of component parties' heads on April 27
President of the religio-political alliance Muthahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and JUI-F chief, Maulana Fazalur Rehman has convened a meeting of the heads of components political parties in Islamabad on April 27. Besides reviewing national and international situation, the meeting will also take decisions regarding upcoming general elections and mass contact movement of the alliance.
Talking to the media and political workers, MMA general secretary Liaquat Baloch and secretary coordination Maulana Mohammad Amjad Khan said Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Siraj-ul-Haq, Professor Sajid Mir, Pir Ejaz Hashmi, Allama Sajid Naqvi, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidery, Sahibzada Owais Ahmad Noorani, Haji Akram Khan Durrani, Rana Shafiq Pasarwari, Sardar Mohammad Khan Leghari, Allama Tauqir Zia, Pir Mahfooz Mashhadi, Shabir Hussain Mesmi, Allama Arif Wahidi and others will attend the meeting.
Maulana Mohammad Amjad Khan told that MMA is going to hold its national level workers' convention in Convention Centre Islamabad on May 2. The central leadership of the alliance will address the participants of the convention and will also announce the future strategy. Meanwhile, the provincial executive council of JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has condemned the sudden withdrawal of security from Maulana Fazalur Rehman and said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) KP in light of the decision of Supreme Court has withdrawn the security of political leadership in pretext of the abolition of protocol.
The meeting of the provincial executive council held here Sunday with provincial chief Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan in the chair. The JUI-F KP said IGP doesn't know the difference between protocol and security and instead of abolishing VIP protocol he is withdrawing security. According to provincial secretary information Abdul Jalil Jan, the meeting besides discussing district level organization matters also reviewed the recommendations of district chapters in light of the delimitations.
The meeting also congratulated the district office bearers of the party in Hazara, Malakand divisions and southern districts for successful mass contact campaign and large attendance of people in it and termed a good message regarding the results of the general elections 2018. The meeting also announced schedule for the visit of the party chief to other districts and said Maulana Fazalur Rehman will address the Ghalaba Islam Conferences in Waziristan on April 25, Kohat April 26, Naushehra April 28 and Mardan on April 29.
The meeting deferred the recommendations and proposals of some districts and decided to review them in the upcoming meeting. According to decision taken in the meeting, the detailed report dispatched by the districts regarding candidates for National and provincial assemblies in light of the new delimitation will be dispatched to central leadership before the month of Ramazan.
