On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,348. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.278 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,548.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 3.484 billion followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.200 billion, gold PKR 1.807 billion, silver PKR 256.208 million, NSDQ100 PKR 134.599 million, platinum PKR 133.927 million, DJ PKR 121.321 million, natural gas PKR 49.207 million, Brent crude oil PKR 32.618 million, copper PKR 29.682 million and SP500 PKR 28.581 million.
In agricultural commodities, 16 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 7.556 million were traded.
