Ukraine's grain exports down

Ukraine's grain exports totalled 30 million tonnes by Wednesday, down from 32.8 million tonnes on the same date the previous season, the agriculture ministry said on Wednesday. So far in the 2017/18 season, which runs from July to June, Ukraine exported 13.9 million tonnes of wheat, 11.8 million tonnes of maize and more than 4.0 million tonnes of barley, the ministry said in a statement.
Ukraine said it harvested 61.3 million tonnes of grain in calendar 2017, compared with a record 66 million tonnes in 2016. The ministry has said Ukraine may export to 41 million tonnes of grain this season.
