The weeklong spring festivals have been started here at Jinnah Garden under the arrangements of Parks and Horticulture Authority. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani inaugurated the celebrations of spring festival and appreciated the best arrangements of PHA for highlighting the colours of spring. PHA vice chairman MPA Haji Khalid Saeed, PHA DG Ch Asif, Addl Commissioner Revenue Khadim Jilani, PHA directors Abdullah Nisar Cheema, Tariq Khan Niazi, other officers and civil society representatives were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner viewed the flower show and took a round of different stalls. He appreciated the art of flower decor and said flowers are beauty of the earth and gift of the nature. He said greenbelts, triangles and parks of the city have been decorated with the seasonal flowers for the beautification of the environment which was very appreciable steps of the PHA.
The Deputy Commissioner said spring festival was the source to provide recreational opportunities to the citizens and it would be helpful to promote the trend of flower cultivation. Haji Khalid Saeed said various development steps had been taken for raising the natural beauty of the city by the PHA and greenbelts have been decorated with the seasonal flowers to show the colours of spring.
