Federal Defence Minister Engr Khurram Dastgir has said that growth of paint industry in Pakistan is reflection of economic activity in the country which is highly appreciated.
Speaking at the inauguration of Diamond Paints new plant at Sundar Industrial Estate (SIE) here on Saturday, the minister lauded the sacrifices of the army and civilian for the peace development in the country. High Commissioner of Malaysia in Pakistan Ikram Bin Muhammad Ibrahim, CEO Diamond Paints Mir Shoaib Ahmed, Directors Mir Huzaifa Ahmed, Mir Khuzima Ahmed and representatives of trade and industry were also present on the occasion.
Dastgir said he was impressed with Diamond Paints new state of the art factory which shows the good face of Pakistan. He said Pakistan was in darkness in 2013 when the PML-N government assumed the charge. With the untiring efforts of the government, now the country is producing sufficient energy. Establishment of a new plant and opening of new factories in Pakistan is an example of the economic revival of the country, he claimed.
