CJP pledges his organs to SIUT

Mian Saqib Nisar, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Saturday visited Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT). Founder & Director of SIUT Professor Adib Rizvi welcoming the guest apprised him about the concept, evolution and services of SIUT. Dr Rizvi particularly highlighted the philosophy being implemented by SIUT since its inception.
Dr Rizvi also pointed out the illegal business of buying/selling of organs, which is growing at an alarming pace. He said that it was laudable that the apex court has taken notice of this grave issue and ordered steps to rectify the situation. The Chief Justice appreciated the services of SIUT for the ailing humanity at large, free of cost, and without discrimination.
He added that he was already an avid admirer of SIUT and Professor Adib Rizvi prior to his visit to the institute. The CJP lamented the malicious crime of organ trade in the country. The CJP donated his organs to SIUT and also extended his support to lifesaving operations of the institute. Later, the CJP was taken round the institute by Professor Adib Rizvi and his team.
