The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) have signed an understanding to support each other in technical and research projects and different legal areas.
Both the Institutes have also decided to explore pathways leading to membership of each other. The understanding was signed by Zia-ul-Mustafa Awan, ICMA Pakistan and David Stanford, CIMA President who was in Pakistan at a graceful ceremony held at ICMA Pakistan Islamabad Centre.
Both the institutes agreed to work out the details of collaboration, the main intention of which is to support each body's initiatives for the betterment of the accounting profession and the nation.
The ceremony was attended by Shehzad Ahmad Malik, Honorary Secretary, ICMAP, Muhammad Yasin, Honorary Treasurer, ICMAP, Ghulam Mustafa Qazi, Member National Council, ICMAP and Ather Saleem, member, National Council, ICMAP. CIMA was supported by Aneeb Farrukh, Senior Manager in Pakistan and KL Choong, Regional Marketing Manager CIMA.-PR
