Worst kind of horse-trading witnessed in Senate poll, alleges ANP
General Secretary ANP, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Hussain Babak has alleged worst horse-trading in the Senate elections, adding political parties have fielded billionaires as their candidates. He was addressing a press conference here at Bacha Khan Markaz along with provincial amir, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan, who arrived to express gratitude for supporting in Senate elections.
The ANP stalwart said that the glitter of wealth cannot dilute the ideology of their party. He said that the party itself and its allies have defeated the offers of the billions of rupees and proved loyalty with the party. Babak, who is also the parliamentary leader of ANP in KP Assembly stressed need for the continuation of contacts amongst the political parties and termed it inevitable for both the country and nation.
He thanked the delegations of JI and PML-N for visiting Bacha Khan Markaz for expressing of gratitude for support in the Senate polls. He urged all political parties to bring their ideological workers into forefront to block the way of horse-trading. Sardar Hussain Babak said that the Senate polls have defamed politics and said all political parties should play role in the stoppage of the process.
On this occasion, the JI delegation thanked the leadership of ANP for extending support in the election. He termed horse-trading suicide attack on democracy and asked the Supreme Court to take a suo mottu notice of it. To a question, Babak said that ANP had never closed the door in politics and in next general elections will take decision on electoral alliance as per political situation.
