Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif at his Jati Umra residence on Saturday and discussed the country's current political situation besides exchanging views on different options regarding future political strategy of the party. During the meeting, both the leaders also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and political matters while agreeing on intensifying the public campaign, the sources said.
During the meeting, the sources said Abbasi told Nawaz Sharif that several projects including those related to energy are in completion phase. He said the government is trying hard to transfer the benefits of development projects to the public. The CPEC will prove to be a game changer in the region, added the premier. The sources claim that Nawaz Sharif asked the PM to focus on public welfare projects and extend all out relief to the masses. Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique also met Nawaz Sharif and discussed political issues with him. After the meeting, Saad told media persons that the institutions must respect each other. He said political leader cannot be ousted through conspiracies. He called for working as per constitutional limits.
